   POWER & FITNESS is a member of NSCA(National Strength & Conditioning Association), which Supports and broadcasts research-based knowledge to its members in more than 50 countries. The NSCA has established itself as an international clearing house for strength and conditioning research, theories, and practices.

New Jersey Strength and Conditioning

Joseph Giacobbe, the proprietor of POWER & FITNESS is a veteran athlete who has participated in sports all through his life. IN high school he was a three sport varsity athlete lettering in track, wrestling, and football. Although he excelled in all of his athletic endeavors, football was his number one passion earning him all-state and all county honors in high school.

In college Joseph was a preferred walk on for the Rutgers University football team, receiving a full scholarship after two years, playing as both a defensive and offensive lineman. In his senior year, the Scarlet Knights had a winning record of 11-2, and for the first time in Rutgers' History, went on to capture their first bowl victory; decisively beating Kansas State 42-10 in the Texas Bowl.

Joseph's football experience and knowledge that he has gained throughout his lifetime, with the opportunity to train with professional football players while at Rutgers, gives him the edge in training and preparing young athletes in there prospective sports.

Functional Movements and athletic success depends on both the correct function of all muscles and the speed at which these muscular forces are used. Through Plyometric training muscles are enabled to reach maximal force in the shortest possible time. Plyometric training has been shown to improve the production of muscle force and power, thus making you faster.
